A NEW NON-PROFIT
The Narrative of . . . GOD and Motorsports
The activities started in the summer of 2006 as a d/b/a (doing business as) subsidiary known as “GOD and NASCAR” services were conducted by the President, Reverend Joseph Louis assisted by volunteers and mentors. There are no paid employees. The Lighthouse Recovery a soon to be dissolved Non-Profit organization served as an “umbrella” covering though some parallel activities where still found in “Lighthouse Recovery.” Yet the majority of the narratives were gone due to an “unsuccessful attempt to obtain funding and unfavorable community acceptance for an alcohol and drug residential rehabilitation facility.” We still maintained an administrative facility was which was opened in October 1995. Used for the continuance of the d/b/a “GOD and NASCAR” ministry from 2006 to now. We now see the need of obtaining a ‘new’ Non-Profit Organization, titled “GOD and Motorsports” being more accurate in its narrative, and moving away from any “licensing” infringements.
The narratives are geared, but not exclusively for the Motor Racing Community, but also to those related in some way to that said “community” which includes fans, etc. The organization’s main services are best described as a “Chaplaincy.” All of the Chaplaincy Services are done on a donation basis. Reverend Louis is the Chaplain of the CARS Tour a Late Model/Super Late Model Racing Series. He travels to the tracks and joins with the officials and drivers on the weekends for the 10-race season. This Chaplaincy involves a Prayer before Officials, Drivers and Spotters meetings. During the time with the teams, Reverend Joe is available for individual prayer and counseling/mentoring. A Chapel Service is conducted on Race Day, and Pre-Race group driver prayer is available for those who desire it. A Pre-Race Invocation for all in attendance. During the race if there are injuries that require transporting to the Track’s Urgent Care Center or a local Hospital, Chaplain Joe connects with driver(s) at the scene or at the facility to connect family members with the driver and provide info and comfort to them in this time. The majority of the drivers are just beginning their climb to the higher NASCAR/ARCA series. Other Pastoral Care services include: hospital visitation, pre-marital counseling, marriage counseling, weddings and funerals. Also available is a Christian 12-Step Program (for any type of addiction) either on a one-on-one basis or in a small group setting. The Program(s) and Counseling are provided by the President (Reverend Louis) who has 23 years experience as a pastoral counselor. Referrals of participants are made whenever necessary to physicians, or to the local Mental Health Center and to social service agencies for the furtherance of their Rehabilitation Process.
The second area of the “GOD and Motorsports” ministry mans the MRO Ambassador Site at the Turn 4 Family Campground located on the property at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. We serve as a concierge service for the track locations as well as the Charlotte area. We provide free coffee, snacks, water and light breakfasts/lunches to the campers in the campground as well as security, medical personnel or maintenance workers or others who may come into the campground to provide services to the campers. The Chaplaincy there provides Chapel Services, Bible Studies, devotional times, as well as Pastoral Care if any medical emergency arise. All of this is provided through donations to the “GOD and Motorsports” Ministry. Additional Volunteer Chaplaincy services are provided to non-CARS Tour Races that are considered to be key races to the furtherance of the driver’s progress to the higher divisions of NASCAR or ARCA. Chaplaincy Services are extended to some of the NASCAR and ARCA Racing Series to encourage the young drivers that have previously competed in the realm of the Late Model/Super Late Model series.
~ IN OUR HEARTS FOREVER ~
This is one of the most self-less person I've met, indeed the time the Lord gave me with her was the Best time I've had on this planet! She went out of her way to help everyone! She indeed displayed unconditional Love for all and indeed I was the "most Blessed man" in the world to have Marie Elena Fererra Louis as my wife! The Happy side of her departure is that she is no longer in pain and is enjoying a place of eternal felicity forever with Jesus! She indeed taught me much about life and was used of God to be a tremendous example of the Unconditional Love of God! She was my soul mate, my best friend, my wife, my lover and a tremendous mother to all the children, and an Encourager to many! Knowing she eant be to keep going! I continue to minister with CARS Tour as their Chaplain and continue with this Ministry (GOD and Motorsports) which also includes 3 weeks a year at Charlotte Motor Speedway Turn 4 Family Campground were she shined the brighest! It will be two years in May since her departure, I know the Lord has more in store for me to do, and possibly a new mate to share it all with me in my time the Lord allows me to live on this earth! It's all in the Lord Hands! Please Pray as I pursue "God's Destiny for my life on this earth! ~Bless2Bless Others! Chap Joe

~ From the Fall of 2016 ~
The following entry for the GOD and Motorsports has been a very difficult and challenging one I must share with you that I still have emotional times over the loss of my best friend, My Precious Marie Elena, who went to be the Lord on May 8th 2016. Her life left a tremendous legacy behind, many called her “mom.” There have been many testimonies given about her smiling face and her ability to make others feel like they knew her for years after speaking to her for just a few minutes. She always had wisdom to impart to others. She gloriously shined at the Turn 4 Family Campground she had the “Gift of Helps” and always cared about helping the ones that would serve others coming thru the campground, the security workers, emergency workers and other service workers that would be so busy that would not have a chance to eat. The morning breakfast sandwiches were initiated for this purpose, egg, cheese and bologna or with sausage are surely missed now. The last two times down to the campground were certainly different. The May campground visit was very medicinal to me as the campground family cried with me, loved on me during this deep grief time indeed it is the “family” campground. Charlotte Motor Speedway track did an article about our heart-felt ministry we do at the Turn 4 Family Campground and it was published in the October’s Bank of America 500 Souvenir Program. I find myself saying “ours” a lot though she is not physically here but her spirit is. Indeed she taught me many common sense things that my mom who was an alcoholic did not impart to me as a child. I indeed became a better man by knowing her. She never hindered me in my work for the Lord. Things “will be different without her” but she would be upset if I didn’t go on with it with zeal! The Lord has given the needed open doors to meet financial needs as I’m putting together a plan to take what I have to further develop it for the care of growth for the Kingdom of God on Earth as it is in Heaven as well as not leaving any financial burden for the girls to take care of my earthly departure when that day arrives. Continue to pray for the family and friends as the healing process continues for our grief. ~Blessings!
Going Forward with God's Destiny . . .
MINISTRY UPDATE: JULY 20TH, 2018
Well the last few weeks have been exciting . . . the race at the somewhat of a bullring track at Kingsport Speedway (nicknamed the "concrete jungle") in Tn. with CARS Response Energy Tour drivers showing their professionalism to show the "nay" sayers who predicted carnage! Layne Riggs added his 1st CARS victory of the year! Extremely Thankful for my part-time job at THD (which has provided reasonable dental and vision plans, a 401-K and a short-term disability insurance) along with ministry friends have helped me to pursue the future to be able to extend the ministry! I'll be analyzing and communicating with the existing ministry board members about what changes need to be made since the Lord closed the door of ministry at Charlotte Motor Speedway Turn 4 Family Campground which was under MRO. The campground ministries will further be consolidated and Raceway Ministries will pretty much man them! ~ The need for more monthly supporters as there are two possibly three non CARS Tour races where I minister at, Bristol Truck Race, Martinsville Speedway for the ValleyStar Credit Union 300 NASCAR Whelen All American race on Saturday, Sempteber 29, 2018, which is the biggest, richest, most prestigious NASCAR Late Model Stock car race in the country. The winner takes home $25,000, a grandfather clock and probably most importantly, bragging rights for a year! Each year there is a Chapel Service with the Lord's Supper with MROA/SoBo Chaplain Jim Foster, Raceway Ministry Chaplains and myself in the garage area after the Drivers Meeting. . . Then the November's "Myrtle Beach 400 NASCAR Whelen All American race." Then possibly the Snow Ball Derby" in Pensacola, FL. ~ As we enter this new season for myself and the ministry we are facing what every one is facing higher overhead due to increases in utilities and media communications. ~ The ministry address is found on this FB page and on our website which I'll be trying to keep more current: "GODandMotorsports" (.com). We also have a Square "Cash" app directly connected to the Ministry account. This has no charge to use and can be downloaded free. Eventually we will have a "Square" device to accept CC. ~ Here is reminder of what we do, OUR NARATIVE: "This is a not-for-profit organization that receives donations from individuals, corporations, like-minded organizations for the purpose of providing for the operations of OUR MISSION STATEMENT which is to provide "Pastoral Care" and "Encouragement" - God's Good News of "Love, Forgiveness and Acceptance" wherever He sends us! ~ Scriptural Affirmation: Acts 20:24 (Amp), "But I do not consider my life as something of value or dear to me, so that I may [with joy] finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify faithfully of the good news of God’s [precious, undeserved] grace [which makes us free of the guilt of sin and grants us eternal life]."
I'm excited that I was able to financially be able to finish the house renovation phase one a foundation wall. After total renovation the house will become a rental property as a means to pursue God's Destiny for the years the Lord will grant to me on this Earth. Always Extremely Thankful for the Promise of the Lord in Romans 6:23 (Amp), "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God [that is, His remarkable, overwhelming gift of grace to believers] is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." ~Blessed2Bless Others!

In response to the Lord answering our

we must increase our Prayers!
Please join us . . .
Please be Obedient to Pray for those who are
in authority in our Government!
Psalm 22:28 (Amplified Bible), For the kingship and the kingdom are the Lord's, and He is the ruler over the nations.
We know that our Lord is over all things; nothing takes Him by surprise! May we do the responsible thing for our Country and its Leadership . . .
1 Peter 2:17 (NKJV), Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.
1 Timothy 2:1-3(Amplified Bible), FIRST of all, then, I admonish and urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be offered on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in positions of authority or high responsibility, that [outwardly]we may pass a quiet and undisturbed life [and inwardly] a peaceable one in all godliness and reverence and seriousnessin every way. For such [praying] is good and right, and[it is] pleasing and acceptable to God our Savior.
Ten truths that will always remain . . .
1. The Bible still has all the answers.
2. Prayer will still work.
3. The Holy Spirit will still move.
4. God still inhabits the praises of His people.
5. There will still be God-anointed preaching.
6. There will still be singing of praise to God.
7. God still pours out blessings upon His people.
8. There will still be room at the Cross.
9. Jesus will still love you.
10.Jesus saves the lost when they come to Him.
