Good morning, friends. It is with a heavy heart that Marie Elena's family must deliver the news that yesterday, May 8, at 3 pm, she passed peacefully away in her sleep. On Monday April 18th, she had a seizure in her home, during which she fell and broke her left arm and leg. She was rushed to the ER, and after extensive tests, we knew her stay at the hospital would be longer than the recovery time required for her broken bones. On Wednesday April 20th, doctors told us that the lung cancer she had just finished chemo/radiation treatment for in November, had metastasized, in innumerable amounts, in her brain. They suggested attempting whole-brain radiation therapy to give her more time and better quality of life. She was able to undergo one treatment. But that wasn't the only battle Elena was facing. She also had pneumonia. On Friday, April 29th, they rushed her to the ICU due to fluid buildup in her lungs. It was there, on that Saturday, that doctors informed us we would not be getting the six to eight months we were so hoping for. In fact, they said only hours to days remained. But you all know Elena is a fighter! She was moved to Hospice Solace Center where she could be more appropriately taken care of. Steadily she became less and less conscious until she was sleeping all day, but her family stayed by her side. Good food, movie nights, love, and laughter filled her ears, and we like to think she absorbed every bit of that positive energy. Then yesterday, on Mother's Day, Elena quietly and softly took her last breath. We want to thank each of you for the privacy we have desired as a family at this time. Details are to follow regarding where to pay respects to this amazing woman. Thank you for being wonderful friends and family to Marie Elena. She was surrounded by love, and no one was more deserving of it.

Good Morning FB Friends it is Throw Back Thursday, May 12th, 2016. Currently at the home base, praying for good weather for the 6:30 pm Memorial Service for My Precious Marie Elena, who is enjoying great pain-free weather for all of eternity. Friends we are going to enjoy an Awesome Reunion time when we met our Lord and loved ones in Heaven! Here on earth the temp at the home base is 55 going to 77 and 60% chance of rain. I’m praying the Lord would push the storms out of the area so that the outside service would not be dampen.
These last few days especially a lot this morning I’ve been reminiscing some good times over the years, I certainly married up to such a kind, gracious and loving person. The family is experiencing tremendous heartbreak without her on this earth, yet we rejoice that her journey of pain which barely was ever mentioned by her is gone! Her current and everlasting environment is with her Lord, enjoying the total ‘felicity’ forever and ever. So today’s title is one of encouragement for the human emotions that run their course in times like this, so let us think on this topic; “Hanging on to those Good Memories.” In the book of Job a book filled with the tremendous attacks on Job who was allowed by God to be “tried” by the enemy for a much bigger plan than Job could figure out with his human brain. A straight-forward statement is made about life on earth; “Man, who is born of a woman, is short-lived and full of turmoil. “Like a flower he comes forth and withers; He also flees like a shadow and does not remain.” (Job 14:1-2-Amp). ~ Again we revert back to King Solomon’s words about the seasons in our human life, in Ecclesiastes 3:4, A time to weep, and a time to laugh; A time to mourn, and a time to dance”....We all handle life in different ways, yet the worse thing we can do is to hold it inside or to be vindictive with negative attacks on others, take our anger to the Lord in prayer, ask Him to help and comfort us and certainly He will not encourage us to hurt anyone! We are called to be compassionate and listen to and obey the words of Jesus, “But I say to you, love [that is, unselfishly seek the best or higher good for] your enemies and pray for those who persecute you” ~ Yes all kind of human emotions flow because we are humans, as I oft say, “our flesh is not saved, but our soul is.” ~ Many good memories of those who have gone on before us but are never forgotten should help us through the darkest times! ~ In His humanity Jesus speaks to His disciples about His painful agonizing death on the Cross, He shares a way to “handle this event,” - “ But the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember everything that I have told you.(John 14:26-Amp) ~ May we find “Comfort” from the “Comforter” and let our emotions run their course in the right way, and always, “Hang on to the Good Memories!” ~Blessed2Bless Others!

Good Morning FB Friends it is Friday, May 13th, 2016. It is raining here at the WNC home base, current temp is 60 going to 73 rain will be leaving the area later this afternoon. For NASCAR TV Schedule is posted on our “GOD and Motorsports” FB page and local short track events on “RACE21” (.com)!
Myself and the Family thank you for taking time to come and honor the life of Marie Elena Ferrera Louis in a Memorial Service following her directives. A very emotional day preceded by a private grave side committal service. Her last words in her directives was she desired to leave with us; “All of you please know that I love you more than you will ever know. . . Now…………….Smile!!!!”
The next two days, I’ll share two songs that were used in the two services at the grave site a song by Chris Rice, “Come to Jesus.” The lyrics are below and also appear on the attached “you tube” of the song… “Weak and wounded sinner/Lost and left to die/O, raise your head for love is passing by/Come to Jesus/Come to Jesus/Come to Jesus and live/Now your burden's lifted/And carried far away/And precious blood has washed away the stain/So sing to Jesus/Sing to Jesus/Sing to Jesus and live/And like a new born baby/Don't be afraid to crawl/And remember when you walk sometimes we fall/So fall on Jesus/Fall on Jesus/Fall on Jesus and live/Sometimes the way is lonely/And steep and filled with pain/So if your sky is dark and pours the rain/Then cry to Jesus/Cry to Jesus/Cry to Jesus and live/Oh, and when the love spills over/And music fills the night/And when you can't contain your joy inside/Then dance for Jesus/Dance for Jesus/Dance for Jesus and live/And with your final heartbeat/Kiss the world goodbye/Then go in peace, and laugh on glory's side/And fly to Jesus/Fly to Jesus/Fly to Jesus and live/Fly to Jesus/Fly to Jesus/Fly to Jesus and live!” ~ a Perfect word picture of Deliverance, Burdens lifted, Sin washed away, and then a progressive walk with the Lord and leaning on Him through all the pain...the last words speak volumes of a “flight to Jesus and Peace and Eternal Life for ever more!” . . . I close with this..“And when this perishable puts on the imperishable, and this mortal puts on immortality, then the Scripture will be fulfilled that says, “Death is swallowed up in victory (vanquished forever). O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin [by which it brings death] is the law; but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory [as conquerors] through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Cor. 15:54-57) ~Blessed2Bless Others!

Good Morning FB Friends it is Saturday, May 14th, 2016. Currently at the WNC home base it is 43 going to 73 with 0% chance of rain. Congrats to NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver Matt Crafton for his Dover Victory. I will be working hard today to get the final organization complete to button down the Cargo Trailer for Monday departure to CMS and looks like a comfortable work day. I will be purposing to stay busy, the the Legacy my sweetheart left behind was “mentoring, teaching and helping others.” So, in the healing processing I will continue to do the same, this an excellent medicine for life and a continuance of my healing. This Monday, I’ll be heading to “Reunion” time with the Turn 4 Family Campground at Charlotte Motor Speedway, where they will love on me because in my human estate I’m grieving over the loss of my best friend and I will receive their love and comfort and support as they have done for close to 10 years. My utmost prayer is that you will receive these last two posts as a process in learning from experiences that the Lord is teaching each of us in times of grief.
I just wanted to take this day to post the other song my Precious Marie Elena wanted in her memorial service. The Lord really used this song to speak to my wife and my heart while in the balcony at church when Maria & Danielle were practicing Interpretive Dance for a church service back in 2006 or 2007. This is a long song but a song that we needed as she was preparing to go into a major surgery for Chordoma cancer that attacked her spinal cord the surgery was severe a large incision the length of her spinal cord, cadaver bones added cages put in with a high risk factor. God assisted the young surgeon through the surgery which was a success and after a family-united team effort around the clock with meds and assisting mom with a walker she recovered and had several years of relief before the next bout with Lung Cancer (she never smoked) and beyond. ~ I pray that even if it’s not your style of music that you would look at as a major way the Holy Spirit reached into our hearts preparing us for the long journey ahead of us. We realized some things have to happen for a much higher purpose. - “And He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because the Spirit intercedes [before God] on behalf of God’s people in accordance with God’s will. And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose. For those whom He foreknew [and loved and chose beforehand], He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son [and ultimately share in His complete sanctification], so that He would be the firstborn [the most beloved and honored] among many believers.” ~ YES LORD! ~ The road may be rough, yet He will be with us! We were Blessed to have with us longer than expected that indeed was a Blessing! Her strength in the Lord, attached to her strong will to live allowed the Lord to work through her to show as the verse mentions above, “to be conformed to the image of His Son.” ~Blessed2Bless Others!
A NEW NON-PROFIT
The Narrative of . . . GOD and Motorsports
The activities started in the summer of 2006 as a d/b/a (doing business as) subsidiary known as “GOD and NASCAR” services were conducted by the President, Reverend Joseph Louis assisted by volunteers and mentors. There are no paid employees. The Lighthouse Recovery a soon to be dissolved Non-Profit organization served as an “umbrella” covering though some parallel activities where still found in “Lighthouse Recovery.” Yet the majority of the narratives were gone due to an “unsuccessful attempt to obtain funding and unfavorable community acceptance for an alcohol and drug residential rehabilitation facility.” We still maintained an administrative facility was which was opened in October 1995. Used for the continuance of the d/b/a “GOD and NASCAR” ministry from 2006 to now. We now see the need of obtaining a ‘new’ Non-Profit Organization, titled “GOD and Motorsports” being more accurate in its narrative, and moving away from any “licensing” infringements.
The narratives are geared, but not exclusively for the Motor Racing Community, but also to those related in some way to that said “community” which includes fans, etc. The organization’s main services are best described as a “Chaplaincy.” All of the Chaplaincy Services are done on a donation basis. Reverend Louis is the Chaplain of the CARS Tour a Late Model/Super Late Model Racing Series. He travels to the tracks and joins with the officials and drivers on the weekends for the 10-race season. This Chaplaincy involves a Prayer before Officials, Drivers and Spotters meetings. During the time with the teams, Reverend Joe is available for individual prayer and counseling/mentoring. A Chapel Service is conducted on Race Day, and Pre-Race group driver prayer is available for those who desire it. A Pre-Race Invocation for all in attendance. During the race if there are injuries that require transporting to the Track’s Urgent Care Center or a local Hospital, Chaplain Joe connects with driver(s) at the scene or at the facility to connect family members with the driver and provide info and comfort to them in this time. The majority of the drivers are just beginning their climb to the higher NASCAR/ARCA series. Other Pastoral Care services include: hospital visitation, pre-marital counseling, marriage counseling, weddings and funerals. Also available is a Christian 12-Step Program (for any type of addiction) either on a one-on-one basis or in a small group setting. The Program(s) and Counseling are provided by the President (Reverend Louis) who has 23 years experience as a pastoral counselor. Referrals of participants are made whenever necessary to physicians, or to the local Mental Health Center and to social service agencies for the furtherance of their Rehabilitation Process.
The second area of the “GOD and Motorsports” ministry mans the MRO Ambassador Site at the Turn 4 Family Campground located on the property at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. We serve as a concierge service for the track locations as well as the Charlotte area. We provide free coffee, snacks, water and light breakfasts/lunches to the campers in the campground as well as security, medical personnel or maintenance workers or others who may come into the campground to provide services to the campers. The Chaplaincy there provides Chapel Services, Bible Studies, devotional times, as well as Pastoral Care if any medical emergency arise. All of this is provided through donations to the “GOD and Motorsports” Ministry. Additional Volunteer Chaplaincy services are provided to non-CARS Tour Races that are considered to be key races to the furtherance of the driver’s progress to the higher divisions of NASCAR or ARCA. Chaplaincy Services are extended to some of the NASCAR and ARCA Racing Series to encourage the young drivers that have previously competed in the realm of the Late Model/Super Late Model series.
As we enter the 2016 Racing Season I want to just introduce the GOD and Motorsports Board Members: myself, Rev. Joe Louis, Founder, President, CEO, Harry "the Mayor" Willey, of Johnson City, TN, Retired (but busier than ever), VP over Special Events; Drew Hierwarter, VP, from Kingsport,TN, Founder of motorsportsphoto.com, and last but not least Cythia Paschall White, Secretary Treasurer from Asheville, NC, housewife, grandparent and former church council member of Lighthouse Church. We are looking forward to be a Blessing to the Racing Community! ~Blessed2Bless Others!

Elena's Report - November 20th, 2015
Here is my wife's post about her last Chemo Treatment! ~ We are ready to progress forward making new memories and sharing good times on our Destiny Road Journey together! ~Chap Joe
Hi everyone! Just first off want to apologize for falling off the grid for a bit. Have been dealing with some major issues from chemo and radiation treatments, the most recent being a blood clot in each lung. And drat it all, after all these months of treatments, my hair decided to fall out just before my last chemo treatment. Yes, I will admit that was a weak moment for me but Maria and I held hands, shed a quick tear and then started laughing at some funny comments as the hairdresser did her thing. It's ok because I am not defined by my hair nor this disease. On a happy note.....I AM DONE!!!!!! The last chemo treatment was yesterday and yesterday is behind me!!!! Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your kind thoughts, prayers and well wishes! Looking forward to health, days filled with love, family and all the goodness of God. God bless each and every one of you!!!!!!

In response to the Lord answering our
prayers of increasing our borders,
we must increase our Prayers!
Please join us . . .
Please be Obedient to Pray for those who are
in authority in our Government!
Psalm 22:28 (Amplified Bible), For the kingship and the kingdom are the Lord's, and He is the ruler over the nations.
We know that our Lord is over all things; nothing takes Him by surprise! May we do the responsible thing for our Country and its Leadership . . .
1 Peter 2:17 (NKJV), Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.
1 Timothy 2:1-3(Amplified Bible), FIRST of all, then, I admonish and urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be offered on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in positions of authority or high responsibility, that [outwardly]we may pass a quiet and undisturbed life [and inwardly] a peaceable one in all godliness and reverence and seriousnessin every way. For such [praying] is good and right, and[it is] pleasing and acceptable to God our Savior.
Ten truths that will always remain . . .
1. The Bible still has all the answers.
2. Prayer will still work.
3. The Holy Spirit will still move.
4. God still inhabits the praises of His people.
5. There will still be God-anointed preaching.
6. There will still be singing of praise to God.
7. God still pours out blessings upon His people.
8. There will still be room at the Cross.
9. Jesus will still love you.
10.Jesus saves the lost when they come to Him.
