The Narrative of . . . GOD and Motorsports

The activities started in the summer of 2006 as a d/b/a (doing business as) subsidiary known as “GOD and NASCAR” services were conducted by the President, Reverend Joseph Louis assisted by volunteers and mentors.  There are no paid employees. The Lighthouse Recovery a soon to be dissolved Non-Profit organization served as an “umbrella” covering though some parallel activities where still found in “Lighthouse Recovery.” Yet the majority of the narratives were gone due to an “unsuccessful attempt to obtain funding and unfavorable community acceptance for an alcohol and drug residential rehabilitation facility.” We still maintained an administrative facility was which was opened in October 1995.  Used for the continuance of the d/b/a “GOD and NASCAR” ministry from 2006 to now.  We now see the need of obtaining a ‘new’ Non-Profit Organization, titled “GOD and Motorsports” being more accurate in its narrative, and moving away from any “licensing” infringements.

The narratives are geared, but not exclusively for the Motor Racing Community, but also to those related in some way to that said “community” which includes fans, etc. The organization’s main services are best described as a “Chaplaincy.”  All of the Chaplaincy Services are done on a donation basis. Reverend Louis is the Chaplain of the CARS Tour a Late Model/Super Late Model Racing Series. He travels to the tracks and joins with the officials and drivers on the weekends for the 10-race season. This Chaplaincy involves a Prayer before Officials, Drivers and Spotters meetings. During the time with the teams, Reverend Joe is available for individual prayer and counseling/mentoring.  A Chapel Service is conducted on Race Day, and Pre-Race group driver prayer is available for those who desire it. A Pre-Race Invocation for all in attendance. During the race if there are injuries that require transporting to the Track’s Urgent Care Center or a local Hospital, Chaplain Joe connects with driver(s) at the scene or at the facility to connect family members with the driver and provide info and comfort to them in this time. The majority of the drivers are just beginning their climb to the higher NASCAR/ARCA series.  Other Pastoral Care services include: hospital visitation, pre-marital counseling, marriage counseling, weddings and funerals. Also available is a Christian 12-Step Program (for any type of addiction) either on a one-on-one basis or in a small group setting.  The Program(s) and Counseling are provided by the President (Reverend Louis) who has 23 years experience as a pastoral counselor. Referrals of participants are made whenever necessary to physicians, or to the local Mental Health Center and to social service agencies for the furtherance of their Rehabilitation Process.

The second area of the “GOD and Motorsports” ministry mans the MRO Ambassador Site at the Turn 4 Family Campground located on the property at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.  We serve as a concierge service for the track locations as well as the Charlotte area. We provide free coffee, snacks, water and light breakfasts/lunches to the campers in the campground as well as security, medical personnel or maintenance workers or others who may come into the campground to provide services to the campers. The Chaplaincy there provides Chapel Services, Bible Studies, devotional times, as well as Pastoral Care if any medical emergency arise. All of this is provided through donations to the “GOD and Motorsports” Ministry. Additional Volunteer Chaplaincy services are provided to non-CARS Tour Races that are considered to be key races to the furtherance of the driver’s progress to the higher divisions of NASCAR or ARCA. Chaplaincy Services are extended to some of the NASCAR and ARCA Racing Series to encourage the young drivers that have previously competed in the realm of the Late Model/Super Late Model series.

As we enter the 2016 Racing Season I want to just introduce the GOD and Motorsports Board Members: myself, Rev. Kasey Kahne Wins!

In response to the Lord answering our

prayers of increasing our borders,

we must increase our Prayers!

Please join us . . .

Please be Obedient to Pray for those who are

in authority in our Government!

Psalm 22:28 (Amplified Bible), For the kingship and the kingdom are the Lord's, and He is the ruler over the nations.

We know that our Lord is over all things; nothing takes Him by surprise! May we do the responsible thing for our Country and its Leadership . . .

1 Peter 2:17 (NKJV), Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.

1 Timothy 2:1-3(Amplified Bible), FIRST of all, then, I admonish and urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be offered on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in positions of authority or high responsibility, that [outwardly]we may pass a quiet and undisturbed life [and inwardly] a peaceable one in all godliness and reverence and seriousnessin every way. For such [praying] is good and right, and[it is] pleasing and acceptable to God our Savior.

Ten truths that will always remain . . .

 1. The Bible still has all the answers.

 2. Prayer will still work.

 3. The Holy Spirit will still move.

 4. God still inhabits the praises of His people.

 5. There will still be God-anointed preaching.

 6. There will still be singing of praise to God.

 7. God still pours out blessings upon His people.

 8. There will still be room at the Cross.

 9. Jesus will still love you.

10.Jesus saves the lost when they come to Him.
